regret

"I remember somebody once asked me if I ever thought about regret... the answers no. Because when this masquerade is finally over I want to be remembered for who I am. Not who I was or who I wanted to be, cuz this right here, this is me."

this was how people approached their life
if you thought about how you'd be remembered
every time you were faced with a conflict
should i do this
or should i stick with what i believe
i wish people wouldn't let peer pressure get to them
the only person who should influence your decisions
is you
if you've strayed
return to yourself
please
i wish people would look at who they were,
who they want to be
and use that to shape themselves right now
this is the only way i can think
to live a life
with no regrets
